De-Stress Month: Ecotherapy

By Tim Lochhead

Did you know getting outside and enjoying nature can benefit a variety of effects from depression to stress to better concentration?

Coined “Ecotherapy” by Mind, a mental health organization in Britain, getting outside and away from the city can help reduce stress and have a positive effect on how you feel.

There are 2 main restorative effects:

  1. Outright reduction in stress
  2. Recovery from mental fatigue

To be really effective, activities should take place in rural or natural settings.

As things start to warm up go on and get out there; green is good for you!
